Concepción Volcano is an active stratovolcano located on the freshwater lake of Nicaragua near Managua. Its height is 1610 meters. Since 1883, the volcano has erupted more than 25 times, the last eruption began on December 11, 2009. Fumaroles are active on the slopes of the volcano.
