Hever Castle is quite small, surrounded by a moat and is known as the home of Anne Boleyn, wife of Henry VIII, who was executed for adultery.

She lived here as a young girl, and the king often visited her, staying nearby at the Lida Castle. In 1903, Hever Castle was acquired by William Waldorf Astor, who undertook the restoration of the castle.
