Among the desert African landscapes, there are also quite remarkable ones; in Namibia there is a unique Namib-Naukluft National Park. It can be considered the best place in Africa for contemplating surreal landscapes. The reserve amazes with a variety of incredible attractions. It is difficult to imagine that thousands of years ago the turbulent Tsauchab River flowed through these desolate and lifeless places, along the banks of which trees and shrubs grew.

When the river changed its course, the climate in this area changed dramatically, and all the once mighty trees dried up. Today, their lifeless silhouettes along with endless sands form the basis of a unique landscape. Namib-Naukluft National Park is the fourth largest in the world with an area of 49,768 sq. km. One of the most interesting places in the national reserve is the clay plateau of Sossusflei, located in the very center of the desert. It is here that you can see the world's largest sand dunes, as well as the world famous Dead Valley, which is famous for the numerous skeletons of dried trees.

Typical representatives of African fauna - lions, elephants, rhinos and giraffes, as well as many species of birds, which most actively flock to these places during the rainy season, also live on the territory of the reserve.
