The Pinnacles National Park appeared in California only in 2013 and has not yet gained popularity, although it is only two hours from San Francisco. The name ("Pinnacles") gives an idea of what can be seen there: the remains of an ancient volcano in the form of giant stone towers scattered along the gentle slopes of the Coast Ranges.

Pinnacles National Park - These rocks attracted climbers long before the region was recognized as a national park. People also come here to see rare mountain birds: California condor, Mexican falcon, peregrine falcon and golden eagle.

If you are not afraid of bats and dampness, you can visit two local caves. The High Peaks Climbing Track leads high into the mountains over steep and narrow cliffs, but requires climbing skills. It is best to go to the reserve in spring to catch the flowering of the pink Kalohortus lily.
