Bethany Beach is a United City in Sussex County, Delaware, United States. According to the 2010 Census Bureau, the city's population is 1,060; however, during the summer months, an additional 15,000 people inhabit the city as holidaymakers. It is part of the Salisbury Metropolitan Statistical Area, Maryland, USA.
Bethany Beach, South Bethany and Fenwick Island are widely known as the "Quiet Resorts". Bethany Beach's reputation as a "quiet" place is enhanced by the presence of Delaware Seahore State Park, located north of the city.

Despite its small size, Bethany Beach contains the usual summer seaside resort attractions, including the short Joseph Olson Boardwalk, a wide, sandy beach, motels, restaurants and holiday homes.
