The Culzean Castle is located just over 60 kilometers to the southwest of Glasgow (Scotland). Its imposing and beautiful appearance attracts thousands of tourists a year. The area has about 290 hectares of forests, gardens, ponds and streams, located on the coast of the estuary of the River Clyde, warm thanks to the effect of the Gulf currents.
Culzean Castle, built by Robert Adam and considered his masterpiece, was erected in the 18th century by order of the 10th Earl of Cassilis. The Culzean lands have been associated with the Kennedy family for more than 500 years.

The park around Culzean Castle is open all year round, and there is nothing more pleasant than strolling its paths on a spring day, when its daffodils and crocuses fill the paths. In addition, the carpets of bluebells, azaleas and rhododendrons will appear. In summer, the castle gardens will display many types of flowers and shrubs. In winter, a thin layer of snow allows you to contemplate a different panorama.

There are maps with hiking routes in the area. The most advisable ones are the ones that take us around Happy Valley and the surroundings of Swan Pond. There we will observe many birds, as well as grazing deer. Another route is the Cliff Walk, from which you can enjoy magnificent views of the coast. From there, on clear days, you can even see Ireland.
