Padang Padang Beach was one of the first beaches I went to in Bali. I read somewhere that it is one of the best secret beaches in Bali, although it turns out that it is not so secret anymore, it is still one of the best.

This beautiful beach is surrounded by large rocks and overgrown plants and monkeys. The beach is covered with huge rocks and small caves for exploration and when the tide is high it is also good for swimming. Just watch out for sharp corals and sea urchins.

Where is?
Located near the Uluwatu temple in southwest Bali. If you are heading from Kuta or Ubud, just go west and go down the coastline.

Why visit
If the crowd is not a problem, come here for the long golden sandy bays. With a consistent surf break all year round, it is popular with surfers. Non-surfers come here to soak up the vibes and relax on the beach. The currents can be strong, but it is possible to swim with some care and stay in the shallow waters.
When is the best time to go?
All year round is a good time to go to Padang Padang Beach. If the sun is out, it's a good reason to get there as soon as possible, whether it's to surf or just to get soaked.
