The Sol Duc Falls Trail is a popular and family-friendly outing to explore the surrounding Val de Sol Duc, including the Sol Duc River in cataract. The trail is easily accessible from either Sol Duc Campground or Sol Duc Hot Springs Resort in Olympic National Park (Washington). The nearly 2-mile trek to the incredible Sol Duc Falls is just the beginning of a longer journey that goes deep into the heart of the national park.

Sol Duc River - For those looking for a longer route, the path continues towards the Basin of the 7 Lakes with multiple views of alpine lakes and subalpine meadows. Advanced permits are required to camp in the Seven Lake Basin area of the park.

In the heart of Olympic Home Park and an hour's drive from Port Angeles, is Sol Duc. Operated by a concessionaire, the Sol Duc Hot Springs Resort features rooms, cabins and suites adjacent to the Sol Duc River and lush surroundings. Those staying inside the difficult have a free pass to the mineral pools and spas, and anyone interested in trying the rejuvenating water can credit a daily use fee. The difficult one even operates a nearby campground to pitch a tent or park an RV.
