The side of Silvaplana (Lake Silvaplana) between Sils Maria and Silvaplana (Switzerland) is well known in the Engadine for being one of the best places for windsurfing and kitesurfing. In summer it is a sight to be admired.

But apart from being able to see these intrepid aquatics or even try to emulate them, its banks allow pleasant walks that can vary in duration depending on how we want to walk, although it is advisable to spend a few hours and take a picnic to enjoy a pleasant day in lower levels. It is ideal for older people or families with young children.

Different paths start from Sils Maria (1806 m.) That lead to the south of the Lake Silvaplana. So we will try to catch one of those that take you along the right bank where pine and larch forests approach the very shore of the lake.
When you reach the end of the lake, take the path to the left in the direction of the beautiful neo-romantic castle of Crap da Sass where the road connects Surlej with Silvaplana. From here you just have to go towards Silvaplana, leaving Lake Silvaplana on the left and Lake Champfer on the right.
From Silvaplana we can take a bus to Sils or walk back.
