The Meguro River (目黒川) is a small river in Tokyo that flows through the area of the same name and flows into the Sea of Japan. Both banks of the river are "dressed" in concrete and it looks more like a city canal. The Meguro River is known among the residents of the capital for the huge number of cherry trees planted along its banks.

There are about 830 cherry blossom trees along the river. The locals call the walk along the Meguro river embankment the sakura promenade. The walking trail is about 3.2 kilometers long.
