Tierra del Fuego National Park (Parque Nacional Tierra del Fuego) is one of the most beautiful national parks in Argentina. It is located 12 km west of Ushuaia along the Ruta Route #3. The park is named after the island of Tierra del Fuego, on which it is located, and was created at the very end of the world to protect its territory in its original form. The beauty and uniqueness of the local nature is the main reason why you should definitely visit the Tierra del Fuego park.
The Tierra del Fuego National Park (or Tierra del Fuego) was created on December 15, 1960 and is the only national park in Argentina, the territory of which consists of marine, forest and mountainous areas. It includes the coastline of Beagle Bay, beautiful coastal bays, lakes, picturesque valleys, vast peat bogs and magnificent forests with unique Antarctic nature and clean air.

About 500 thousand people visit the Tierra del Fuego National Park every year. It is quite large and it is possible to see it all in one day only very quickly.
Personally, we were 4 times on its territory and did not see everything that is in it. So, for example, the main interest of tourists - the train to the end of the world (Tren Fin del Mundo) - remained behind the scenes for us.

It is important to know: To get a more or less complete picture of the Tierra del Fuego park, it will take 2-3 full days, good weather and your desire to walk a lot. But you can watch it in one day!
Among the animals in the Tierra del Fuego Park, you can find both the fire-earth fox, rare guanacos and deer, as well as the hare, beaver and muskrat brought from other continents. Mammals live in the water - South American sea lions, several species of penguins; during the warm season, whales migrate.

Due to the meeting of land with the sea, a wide variety of coastal and seabirds is observed in Tierra del Fuego, including albatrosses and petrels, the unique Magellanic woodpecker, geese, cormorants, various gulls and ducks, an eagle, a condor and even an Australian parrot. Unfortunately, we were not able to see them all.
Large crabs are found in the water - dishes of which are the main hit among tourists in local restaurants.
