Bran Castle - Built between 1377 and 1388, the castle is an important Romanian national monument that served as the inspiration to famed writer Bram Stoker for the creation of one of the most popular novels of all time, Dracula.

Reality or fiction?
One topic that often causes great confusion is that the real Dracula, Vlad Tepes (better known as "the impaler" for his terrifying torture practices), never lived in Bran Castle, but this was the place of inspiration for the terrifying novel by Bram Stoker.
