Huanghuacheng Great Wall is a beautiful tourist spot, combining mountains, lakes and the Great Wall. It is the last section popular with hikers. It provides a challenge for hikers because the trails are steep and repaired.

Not far from the suburbs of Beijing, there is a famous section of the Great Wall of China (慕田峪长城), which is called Huanghuacheng. This name can be translated as "fortress with yellow flowers". The name comes from the fact that in summer the surrounding hills are covered with yellow flowers. There is one very famous story associated with the construction of this section of the wall.

One of the more unique sections of the Great Wall, Huanghuacheng, is rarely seen on tourist routes. Although we honestly don't understand why.

Its wild, crumbling loopholes and stunning lakeside landscapes are originally different from the "classic" panoramas of the Great Wall of China. Seasonality is also important here - it is better to come in the spring months (March, April or May) and you will be greeted by a carpet of yellow wildflowers covering the slopes of the nearby mountains. Here you can enjoy a relaxing boat trip on the surface of the lake. It is also definitely a good and original choice during the peak tourist season.
