Huntington Beach is a small California city located on the Pacific Ocean. It is located about 60 km from Los Angeles. This small town has its own characteristics and interests. I have been here many times: I sunbathed on the beach in the summer, strolled the streets in the winter - and it seems to me that this place is perfect for a pleasant and fun vacation.
Huntington is a city with neat two-story buildings. There are many young people here, as the local beach is considered one of the best surfing spots.

Since Los Angeles is fortunate enough to be very close to the Pacific coast, it is surrounded by many beach towns. Among them are popular tourist destinations such as Santa Monica. Huntington is less publicized and famous, which is what I like about him. There are no hordes of tourists from different countries here. Residents of nearby cities either come here for the weekend, or Americans from other states spend their holidays.

Here, of course, it will be difficult without knowledge of English, since the locals are not used to foreign tourists. But you havethere will be no problems finding a convenient place on the beach, there are no crowds in the streets, there is little chance of stumbling upon a Chinese tourist photographing everything. At the same time, there are many cafes, souvenir shops and other infrastructure necessary for a tourist around. It is a rarity - in a beach resort town to be able to feel the life of local people so keenly.

When is the season? When is the best time to go?
Huntington Beach suggests a beach holiday, so it is better to go here in the summer. Local residents open the swimming season in mid-spring, and it lasts until mid-autumn.
Huntington Beach in summer
Heat gradually comes here in June. It is cool in the mornings and evenings, during the day the temperature does not always reach 30 degrees. But in July, it begins to bake more and more, the temperature rises to 30-35 degrees. There is no rain in summer (only if with rare exceptions).

Advice for surfers, and in general for those who like to swim, do not go into the ocean the next day after the rain, because together with the rainwater sewage from the streets flows down there.
It should always be borne in mind that the city is washed not by the sea, but by the ocean. A strong wind often blows here, and in the evenings it is cool even after a sultry summer day. Therefore, if you want to take a walk in the evening city, my advice to you is to take a sweatshirt or windbreaker with you.
