The Komodo Island, and consequently the Komodo National Park, is part of the East Nusa Tenggara province (a province that includes the island of Komodo, the island of Flores, Sumba, East Timor and the hundreds of islets that comprise the 4 above named main islands).
Komodo, then, is located between the island of Flores (a few hours from Labuan Bajo) and the island of Sumbawa.

Apart from the Komodo Island, we find the island of Rinca, the Padar Island (the famous photogenic island from the top of the hill (yes, the photo at the beginning of the post?)), The island Gili Montang and the island Rusa Kode: on all these islands there are 3,013 Komodo Dragons distributed among them.
In this archipelago of islands, there are more small islands with spectacular beaches and sea beds (among the best in the world).

If you want to add beaches to your trip to Indonesia, you cannot miss the beaches of Komodo and if you still have more time, Indonesia is the perfect country to visit postcard paradise beaches, in our last post we talked about the 10 best beaches in Indonesia, And what beaches ?!
What we mean by this is that even if they close the island of Komodo you would still have 4 more islands to see the Komodo dragons (in Rinca, for example, it is much easier to see them than in Komodo) and a lot to do in the islands, apart from seeing the dragons.
