The Lake Thun is one of the many lakes in Switzerland surrounded by high mountains, which navigate its waters and see picturesque villages. It is located in the Swiss Alps, in an area called the Bernese Oberland. Taking advantage of a rainy day, we visited three villages on the shore of Lake Thun: Interlaken, Spiez and Thun. Do you want to know this corner of Switzerland?

Spiez has a beautiful medieval castle, in which hours before they had had a wedding and there were still rose petals on the floor. You can visit the local history museum and the vineyard and even have a wine or coffee.

On the shores of Lake Thun, surrounded by vineyards and forests, lies the town of Spiez, Switzerland. With a population of 12,000, Spiez is best known for its medieval castle with its 1,000-year-old Romanesque church. Except for the tall stone tower, the castle, which today houses a museum, could be mistaken for a huge white chalet. Many people combine a visit to the castle with a cruise on Lake Thun. After a day of hiking or fishing, finish your day with a glass of Spiezer, the locally made wine.
