Big Bend is a national park in the very south of Texas in the USA, one of the most beautiful natural sites along the border with Mexico, where two countries and different cultures meet. Here, in the middle of a desert landscape with forested mountains, along the winding Rio Grande and its tributaries chained in canyons, there is a real geological wonder - with marine fossils, prehistoric fossils and a variety of flora and fauna. It was very interesting for us to visit there and not only see blooming cacti, but also follow the migration of rare birds and wild animals.

The reserve is home to the famous Chisos mountain range, the maximum height of which reaches about 2.5 thousand meters.

It is noteworthy that on the territory of the reserve there is the Chihuahua Desert with a desert climate. The highest temperature in summer here reaches +49 degrees. Therefore, here you can observe the stony ground, dotted with cacti. And next to the Rio Grande there is an oasis.

The oldest gravel road "Old Ore Road" is popular among tourists. Back in the 19th century, it was used by miners who mined ore on this territory.
Big Bend National Park offers plenty of activities for visitors of all ages. The park has 150 miles of trails through mountainous desert terrain and along rivers.
