Puez-Geisler Nature Park. From our village Velturno to the national park there is a beautiful road through the gorge and the Funes valley. Only 20 km away and we park our car in the parking lot outside the village of Tsans. It is located at an altitude of 1680 meters.

For health reasons, my husband stayed to wait for me in a restaurant in the Zanser Alm parking lot. I myself had to climb to the mountains with the complex name of Puez-Geisler. When I was preparing for the trip, it seemed to me more or less clear. I walk along the Adolf Munkel trail, the journey takes 3 hours and I have to cover 9 km. I went to the information boards, and there are more than 30 paths in different directions. I found the path that I chose at home, but the parameters of 4.5 hours and 13 km have already changed there.

To be honest, in the city I navigate without a map (from memory) perfectly, with some sixth sense. But in the forest the situation is radically opposite, I am a complete layman and the cards only confuse me. I tossed between information boards and chose, as it seemed to me, an easy option. Trail N 35 to the huts Rifugio delle Odle and Malga di Casnago.
