Just eight kilometers south of the city of Zhangjiajie (China) in the northwest of Hunan province, in the Tianmen Mountain National Park there is an unusual object of natural origin - a huge natural arch in the karst rocks of Tianmen Mountain or Tianmen Shan, called the Heaven's Gate Or the Tianmen Mountain Cave. This is perhaps the most beautiful natural arch in the world.

Tianmen is a large cave (30 meters or 100 feet wide) water-eroded hole between two peaks, like a huge gate in the cliff face. It is the highest hole of its kind in the world.
There are 99 hairpin turns on the way to Tianmen Cave, the famous 99 turns. The best place to see and take photos of these curves is from the cable car.

There are 999 steep and narrow steps up to the cave. It is a hard and heavy climb (30 minutes). The views from the cave are absolutely clear and breathtaking, and it's always crowded and hard to find a good spot for photos.
The World Wingsuit League held the first and second World Wingsuit Championships in Tianmen Mountain, flying through Tianmen Cave!
Tianmen Mountain, located 8 km from Zhangjiajie City, is the highest mountain in Zhangjiajie.
