The Windsor Castle has been the refuge of Queen Elizabeth II since the coronavirus spread across UK and will remain so now that it has decided to temporarily withdraw from public life until the pandemic has subsided. A week before the Easter holidays, the monarch decided to leave Buckingham to settle in her Berkshire residence for security reasons. Although Prince Charles's mother enjoys a health that many would like, it is true that she is a high-risk person due to her advanced age, 94 years.
The Windsor Castle was built in 1070 by William the Consquistador, as a weapon of defense of the city.
