The mountain got its name due to its external resemblance to the back of a rodent animal. Local residents claim that many Alpine marmots lived there, that is, the same hamsters. Most of the tourists who managed to conquer the summit jokingly say that the mountain was named so because you need to climb it quickly, quickly and in small steps, like the way hamsters move.
The opinion of some scientists - the name comes from the word "Hill".
