Bobbio (Italy) is an ancient resort town (balneology, skiing) in the Italian region of Emilia-Romagna, in the valley of the Trebbia River near Piacenza, at the foot of the high mountain Peniche (Italian).

Bobbio is a very particular village, which has developed all around the abbey of San Colombano, one of the most important Benedictine monasteries, which remains connected to the rest of the Val Trebbia through a spectacular bridge. Because of its charm, Bobbio was elected "Most Beautiful Village in Italy" in 2020.

As mentioned at the beginning of the article, this bridge is one of the most visited points because it allows you to see Bobbio in its entirety from the outside. Crossing it towards sunset time, you can admire spectacular colors.
The bridge has this particular name, "Gobbo" because it is not flat, but is irregular along the path made up of 11 arches. It is also called "del Diavolo" because according to a legend it was created by the devil himself to frighten the monks of the Abbey of San Colombano so that they would not cross the river.
