The city of Coron is a small fishing village with a population of just over 40,000 inhabitants, which has become one of the most popular tourist destinations in the Philippines, serving as a starting point for various excursions.

How to get to Coron Island?


To get to Coron Island we recommend you start the trip from the city of Coron. The most comfortable and fastest way is to travel by plane, Cebu Pacific, SkyJet Airlines, Air Juan Airline and Philippines Airlines offer flights several times a day from Manila, the Philippine capital.

From the Coron Palawan airport to the city of Coron, you can take a taxi, or a shared van, since all the workers on these routes know the flight schedules and will be waiting for you.

If you do not want to travel by plane, but prefer to enjoy the trip by ferry, there is one that goes from Manila and Puerto Princesa to Coron. The ferry from Manila takes 15 hours to arrive and operates twice a week; on the other hand, the trip from Puerto Princesa also lasts 15 hours.

In the same way there are daily small boats that make transports between Coron and El Nido.

It is important to take into account that due to the weather and high seasons, boat schedules tend to change and cancel.

Within the city of Coron there are no taxis, since it is a very small city, transportation consists of walking or riding a tricycle, which can cost a little less than half a euro. It is also possible to rent bicycles or motorcycles. Motorcycle rental costs between 3 and 11 euros, depending on the size of the motorcycle and the rental time.
