Perhaps La Fortuna can be called the most beautiful waterfall in Costa Rica. It is located next to the city of the same name La Fortuna, which is the tourist center of the Arenal volcano. The height of the waterfall is 65 meters, the crater at the place where the water falls is from 6 to 7 meters, depending on the season. Entrance to the territory costs $18.

To get to La Fortuna Waterfall, you have to go down about 500 steps, and, accordingly, climb 500 up. You can swim in the waterfall, the water is quite cool. Do not swim close to the place where the water falls, it is dangerous, though it is not easy to do this. The current is very strong. There is also a place below where children can swim with trout. The water is shallow and very calm. The duration of the tour will take about 1.5 hours to calmly swim, take photos and relax. The place is a must to visit, even if you come to Costa Rica even for a short time.
