The Snoqualmie Falls is located on the river of the same name between the cities of Snoqualmie and Falls, in the state of Washington, USA. This is a grandiose, known to people for a long time, natural object. The height of the fall of the Snoqualmie water exceeds the Niagara Falls and is 82 meters.

For the indigenous people, the waterfall is a sacred ritual place, a central element in culture. The mists rising to the sky from the foot of the waterfall, according to ancient beliefs, serve as guides to the dwellings of spirits.
The white settlers who appeared in the Snoqualmie area in the mid-19th century were more interested in the practical side. Forest, industrial development - that's what drew attention in the first place. In 1890, the world's first underground power station was built. Located at the foot of the waterfall, it is still functioning successfully today. Also in 1981, the power plant was included in the list of cultural and historical engineering monuments. After 20 years, in 1911, a second hydroelectric power station was built, located slightly below the waterfall. An underground hydroelectric power station takes a significant part of the water from the channel, so the Snoqualmie Falls outwardly are no longer as powerful as in former times. He can demonstrate all his strength only in a flood, then it is a solid wall of roaring falling water.

In 2009, Snoqualmie Falls was listed on the National Register of Historic Places as a cultural landmark in connection with the beliefs and traditions of the Snoqualmie Indians.
A separate attraction of the area is the historic Salish House, built here in 1918. Destined to accommodate travelers since its inception, it has undergone significant changes during its existence and is now a large center equipped with modern rooms and several spas.
