Farolim de Felgueiras, or Farol de Felgueiras, or Farolim do Molhe de Felgueiras or Farolim Cabeça de Molhe, on the right bank of the Douro River, is a Portuguese lighthouse located at the end of the dock of the same name, in the parish of Boca del Duero, city of Porto.

Farolim de Felgueiras Lighthouse. There are several more variations of the name of the same lighthouse, which stands on the northern bank of the mouth of the Douro River.
On the one hand, the Atlantic splashes here, on the other hand, the peaceful waters of the golden river slowly descend from the emerald hills of the valley and cut through the city of Porto, merge with the ocean.
The Farolim de Felgueiras is located in the Fozhs region, which is translated from Portuguese as “mouth”. If you have several days planned in Porto, be sure to come here at sunset. The name Felgueiras comes from a stone located nearby on the west side.

The pier and pier began to be built at the end of the 18th century in order to protect the coastal zone and the entrance to the river from severe storms that usually rage in winter.
The Farolim de Felgueiras Lighthouse was built in 1886. In 1945, they carried out reorganization work. Almost 30 years later, in 1979, this lighthouse was modernized and became one of the first lighthouses in Portugal to be operated by remote control, which was carried out from the nearby port of Leixões. In 2009, the lighthouse was deactivated, leaving only the sound signal.
