Qingdao (青岛市) is a Chinese city located on the Shandong Peninsula and is the most important port, industrial center and military base of China.

Location of the city: Qingdao is located in the south of the Shandong Peninsula on the coast of the Yellow Sea at a distance of 555 kilometers from Beijing. In the east, the city is washed by the waters of the Yellow Sea; in the north it borders on the Chinese city of Yantai; in the west - with the city of Weifang. A bit of history: Until 1897, the town was a fishing village. In 1898, China leased Qingdao to Germany for 99 years. In 1914, the Japanese captured the city. In 1922, the city again went to China.
