Shifen Waterfall (十分瀑布) is a significant landmark of the region. It is nicknamed "Little Niagora" by the locals because its cascading shape is very reminiscent of this famous natural wonder. Shifen is about 20 meters high and about 40 meters wide.

Due to the fact that the waterfall is located between two rocky ledges, the roar from it can be heard for many kilometers. Tourists often see rainbows here. Shifen Waterfall is famous for its beauty far beyond Taipei, you can often see it on the cover of Chinese travel guides.
