Albion Falls Hamilton Ontario |
Albion Falls, a classic/cascading waterfall and one of Hamilton's 100+ Falls, can be found here at the back of Kings Forest Park. The adjacent car park was removed when construction began on the nearby Red Hill Valley Parkway. Parking on Mountain Brow Road above the falls for 50+ vehicles is still available to visitors. Up until the early 1900s, there was a small, lively village called Albion Mills. Stones from the Albion Falls area were used to build a rock garden at the Royal Botanic Gardens. Nearby, to the northwest of Albion Falls, there is another waterfall called Buttermilk Falls. Not too far and east of the newly built Red Hill Valley Parkway at the Glendale Golf & Country Club is another waterfall called Glendale Falls on Mount Albion Road. King's Forest Golf Club was founded in 1974 and is operated by the city of Hamilton. Red Hill Creek and many large ponds come into play. Considered one of the best municipal courses in Canada.
