Glücksburg is the northernmost castle in Germany. Built in 1582 in the middle of the lake in the city of the same name. For centuries it has been one of the most significant family nests in Northern Germany. The family of the count of Schleswig-Holstein and, periodically, the Danish kings lived here.

Despite the fact that the castle is located in the middle of the lake, thanks to the high foundation, it has a basement. Previously, there was a kitchen, a pantry and a prison, now in the basement - office space. There is a walking trail around the lake with the best views. On the island, near the castle, there is a small garden.
