Pitons Management Area is a conservation area on the island of St Lucia, which includes two volcanic cones: Gros Piton (798 m high) and Petit Piton (734 m).

The volcanoes are connected by a ridge (Piton-Mitan). The cones are visible from almost anywhere on the island and are a symbol of St Lucia. The zone is included in the UNESCO World Heritage List (the only object on all six islands we visited).

The cones are located near the town of Soufrière, in the southwest of the island. The area of the territory is 2909 hectares. Volcanoes are extinct, but the remnants of volcanic activity are manifested in the presence of sulfuric geothermal sources.
There are coral reefs in the sea, where, in particular, 168 species of fish are found. 148 species of plants grow in the ground part, eight of them are rare.

The extinct volcanoes of Piton represent the remnants of an earlier volcanic system known as the Soufrière Volcanic Center. In addition to the two cones, other volcanic features have also been preserved, including craters and solidified lava flows.
These features sufficiently illustrate the evolution of the volcano, which was the reason for their inclusion in the World Heritage List.
