The Sexten Dolomites is one of the lesser known places among tourists.
This mountain range is located in the Italian provinces of Belluno and Bolzano. It owes its name to the main city of the region - Sesto (Sexten), which is the easternmost municipality of the Italian region of Trentino-Alto Adige. Like many cities in the region, Sexten is surrounded by mountain peaks on all sides. An interesting fact is that the mountains surrounding the city actually create a natural sundial. Looking at the peaks illuminated by the sun, you can always clearly recognize the time of day!
