The main tourist feature and must-see of Ushuaia is the
Tierra del Fuego National Park, located just 11 km away. from the city. Public transport runs from the city to the park, you can also visit it as part of a group tour. The landscapes of the park are woven from a series of pastoral lakes, lagoons, islets and rivers. You will see where the
Beagle Channel begins, connecting the Pacific and Atlantic Oceans, take a ride on a tourist train, which used to carry prisoners in shackles, get acquainted with the local specific flora, and also, if you are lucky, you will see representatives of the local Patagonian fauna - beavers, foxes and wild geese.
