Pebbly Beach, on Catalina Island, is just around the corner from the town of the same name. It is one of the most popular sites for snorkeling, and it is one of the places where you will probably see more tourist boats with a glass bottom (for the contemplation of the seabed), leaving from the arm of the sea (green port) and the Sandy beaches.

Pebbly Beach and its famous Love Cove are just a short walk away, and there are several piers to visit nearby, including Cabrillo and Catalina.
Anyway, it is called Pebbly beach because of its stones (in English it means pebble beach), and there really isn't much sand left on this beach for sunbathing. For this reason, people who prefer to spend the day at the beach lying in the sun, usually go to the main beach near the town (Crescent beach).
Pebbly Beach |
The truth is that Pebbly Beach is a small coastal area and well known for its areas to play golf and its schools for the same sport.
It really is a beach where you should come if you like water, diving or simply swimming in its blue waters. Kayaks are also rented to be able to navigate around, if we do not want to be in the water all the time.
The waters closest to the beach are not too deep and allow you to enjoy many possibilities with goggles, a tube and fins, such as free diving to contemplate the beauty of the ocean or underwater fishing. This can also be checked from some of the bottom visible boats mentioned earlier.

Another thing we can do is drive along the entire coast to which Pebbly Beach belongs and admire the spectacular views that it offers us. The entire coastline and the cypresses that line the road will make us spend an unforgettable trip.
After a good dip in this beach and a walk to get to know the surroundings, we can go to any of the many restaurants that we have available in the vicinity. There are also quite a few hotels in the area, so it won't take long to find one to our liking.
