Cabrillo Beach is ideal for taking long walks along its calm shoreline and watching the ocean and the silhouettes of surfers on the horizon. Cabrillo Beach is located on the southern coast of California and is very popular for swimming, surfing, snorkeling, scuba diving and playing volleyball.

If we go very early in the morning, we can find many people fishing, which gives an image of calm to this quiet beach. There are tables to bring food and have lunch on the beach or have a picnic.
Depending on the season in which we go, we can see whales as they pass near Cabrillo beach. As whale watching season ends, Grunion fish season begins. Twice a month, these silvery fish emerge from the water at Cabrillo Beach to lay their eggs in the sand under a full or new moon. During the season, it is legal to pick them up, but you have to do it with your hands, which is difficult as they are very slippery.

Cabrillo Beach is actually made up of two beaches: One further outside where the waves break and where surfers usually practice their sport, and the other in the inner part of the port, which is quiet and perfect for families with Small children.
You can access the boardwalk from the entrance to the beach and dedicate yourself to fishing and enjoy a relaxing and uneventful day. Going into the sea through the boardwalk, it gives us a different view of the beach and radically changes the landscape. Close to this site, we have the Cabrillo Marine Aquarium.

On the beach itself, we have hotels available so we simply have to make a reservation, and the rest will be fun. Very close to Cabrillo beach, we have another quite good beach, which is White Point beach.
The port of Los Angeles is always visible and it is always a good idea to go there to enjoy the bars, restaurants and services they offer. The temperatures at Cabrillo Beach are usually warm, although in summer it is usually quite hot.
