What is it that attracts so many people from all over the world to these beaches? The answer is obvious – the sand, a clear sky, a good temperature and crystal clear water. The island of Nantucket offers a long coastline with more than 130 kilometers of beaches with this description.

What makes them unique is that while many of the beaches on Nantucket are private, the owners keep them open for everyone to enjoy. While the island is home to about 10,000 inhabitants throughout the year, in the summer this figure rises to more than 50,000.
On the island of Nantucket there are beaches of all types and for all tastes. There are private beaches with nice cabins, beaches specially designed for surfing, beaches for walking and resting or just doing nothing, a beach with a port, and even beaches dedicated to children and families. Each beach has its own personality.

The best beach for the family and the little ones on the beach of "Child beach", which is located in the port of Nantucket and has very calm waters, has playgrounds for children, grassy areas, picnic tables and bars for a snack. It also has a stage where concerts are held during the summer, and where puppet shows are also held for everyone. It is a very safe beach with many services for the whole family.
Dionis beach is perfect for bathing and swimming due to its calm and calm waters. Jettie Beach offers a promenade, shops, restaurants and many places to rent various types of services and products (cars, nautical equipment, etc.).
It also has on the beach itself an area reserved for the little ones with swings and various entertainments. The water is generally shallow with few waves. It's a great place to relax, unwind and watch the ships come in and out of the harbor.

For surfers we have Cisco beach. With some big waves, this beach is the best place to surf or receive lessons in this sport if we are beginners. Lifeguards are on hand, though surfers should still be careful as the waters at this beach are somewhat choppy.
Another popular Nantucket beach is Surfside on the south side of the island. There is a car park, bicycle paths and pedestrian paths to reach the beach. Other beaches are Siasconset and Madaket, which are great for watching the sunset and simply spending a good afternoon with friends or even alone. However, we must be careful if we swim in its waters as there are currents. Anyway, there are lifeguards in the area.
There are plenty of things to do on any of Nantucket's beaches. You can sail, windsurf, fish, lunch and dinner wonderfully, and many activities that will make us spend an unforgettable summer. If you leave early, it is advisable not to stay alone on one beach, but try to make a route and see as many as you can along the coasts of the island. This way we can check the differences and nuances between all the beaches that are offered to us.
