Another classic in the Big Apple, the Manhattan Bridge. More modern than Brooklyn, but no less interesting, it is two kilometers long and was opened to the public in 1909.

This is another of the city's suspension bridges, which in this case joins Brooklyn with lower Manhattan and from which you can get some of the best views of the city's skyline.
