The majestic Ooidonk Castle stands 15 kilometers from Ghent, just under an hour by bike. Its Renaissance architectural style makes it one of the most beautiful in Belgium. Home to dukes, the castle was destroyed twice during religious warfare in the 16th century. After numerous reconstructions and renovations, today the Counts t'Kint live, who open the doors of their castle so that visitors can enjoy their gardens and interior decoration.
