They are called the Alabama Hills, and they are a range of hills and curious rock formations near the Sierra Nevada mountains in California. Curious for their rounded shapes, in contrast with the background of the sharp-edged mountains of the Sierra Nevada. And as a curious scenario, in the world of cinema and television in the United States they have not missed the opportunity to use them in numerous filming and shooting.

Especially for the theme of westerns, with many of the rude adventures displayed in the place of Hopalong Cassidy, classics like Springfield Rifle, Joe Kidd, and more recently (and outside the western genre) some scenes from Gladiator, Iron Man, or Transformers, among more than 150 productions.
