Seitan Limani Beach, also called Agios Stefanou, is one of the many hidden wonders of Crete. This is an unusual beach located between the rocky walls of a small charming bay on the Akrotiri peninsula.

This natural bay includes a small sandy beach with white pebbles and crystal clear sea with turquoise hues. The beach is located near the village of Chordaki, only 19 km from the beautiful and lively city of Chania.

The name Seitan Limania Beach is translated as "Devil's Port" - it comes from two words: Seitan, which means "devil" in Turkish, and Limania, which means "port" in Greek. The name is not accidental, given that this is an inaccessible landscape dominated by steep coastlines washed by strong sea currents.

The sea is almost always rough and getting to the beach is difficult, as you will have to descend a steep slope, which is best approached with suitable shoes and with great care. While not particularly dangerous, reaching the beach requires some skill and athletic training.

The road to Seitan Limania Beach was built in 2010 and since then only locals have visited this oasis. Then, in 2015, someone posted a photo on social media, and tourists from all over the world began to come here. Unfortunately the beach is very small so there are no services or facilities and it is very crowded during peak hours, however it is still a hidden gem, a piece of paradise worth exploring.
