In Bemidji, Minnesota, there is a local shopping center called Paul Bunyan Mall. Hobby Lobby, Kohl's, CosmoProf, JCPenney, Up Thrift Shop, Jo-Ann Fabrics, Maurices, and rue21 are some of the mall's anchor stores. One of the anchor stores, which was formerly Herberger's, is vacant.

Developers Diversified, Inc. of Cleveland developed the project. The Twin Cities-based Rauenhorst Corp., formerly known as Rauenhorst Const. Co. handled both the general contracting and design aspects of projects.
