A shopping center called Western Hills Mall is located near Birmingham, Alabama. The Aronov Realty-developed mall debuted in 1969 as the second in Birmingham. One of the company's early anchor stores was Loveman's of Alabama, which changed its name to Pizitz in 1980. Pizitz later evolved into McRae's and then Parisian. The other significant retailer was JCPenney, with Yeilding's and F.W. Woolworth Company serving as the other significant tenants. Later, Goody's Family Clothes occupied the space once occupied by The Yeilding.

Western Hills Mall had a significant makeover in 2006. The mall building was reduced at the former Penney entrance when the JCPenney store was removed. The previous JCPenney location was transformed into a brand-new Walmart Supercenter. In the late 2000s, Burlington Coat Factory and Parisian both shuttered.
