A sizable shopping complex called Westridge Court first opened its doors in 1990 in Naperville, Illinois. It has roughly 30 retailers, including Bed Bath & Beyond, Petco, and Buy Buy Baby. There was a Kmart on the premises before the Linens N Things/Savers, Old Navy, and Marshalls.

In 1991, Portillo's, Chili's, and Arby's were constructed. 1992 saw the opening of Carson's Furniture Gallery, Homemakers, and Circuit City. In 1993, Taco Bell was first launched. Michaels opened their doors on Aurora Avenue across from the shopping mall in 2004. Homemakers shut down its Naperville location in 2005. Cub Foods shuttered all of its outlets in the Chicago region in 2006, while CompUSA shut down its Naperville facility in 2007. In 2008, DSW relocated to Springbrook Prairie Pavilion.
