One of the two enclosed retail centers in Santa Rosa, California, is called Coddingtown Mall. JCPenney, Macy's, Nordstrom Rack, Target, and Whole Foods Market are the mall's anchor stores, which were first opened in 1962. Codding Enterprises wholly owns and operates it.

Hugh Codding constructed the Coddingtown Mall in the year 1962. It was originally an outdoor mall until it was enclosed in 1979. The 1984 conversion of Liberty House into a Macy's store was also incorporated during the expansion. The Emporium left its old location in 1996, and Macy's came in. Gottschalks thus relocated into the former Liberty House/Macy's structure. In 2005, Codding sold Simon Property Group a 50% stake in the shopping center. Many business owners criticized Simon for failing to bring chain stores to the mall after the sale to Simon. For a Whole Foods Market, whose debut was eventually postponed until 2010, a Ralphs grocery in the mall was destroyed in 2008, and Gottschalks shuttered in 2009.
