In Mattoon, Illinois, the United States, there is a mall called Cross County Mall. JCPenney, G. C. Murphy, IGA, Arlan's, and Myers Brothers were the initial tenants, and Sears joined in 1972. After Arlan's closed in 1973, the location became Kmart the following year.

While Kmart left the shopping center in 1993 to become a larger Sears store, G. C. Murphy changed into Meis, Elder-Beerman, and subsequently Carson's. When the Sears store closed in 2014, Rural King took its place. The mall's remaining anchors after Carson's and JCPenney closed in 2018 and 2020, respectively, are Rural King, Marshalls, and Jo-Ann Fabrics. The mall is also owned by Rural King.
