South of Houston in the rapidly expanding city of Pearland, Texas, is where you'll find the lifestyle center-inspired regional retail mall known as Pearland Town Center. The complex, which is run by CBL & Associates, was finished in 2008 and has space for another anchor shop in addition to its three existing anchor stores. To help CBL pay off its debt, it was reported in May 2011 that TIAA-CREF would acquire 12% of Pearland Town Center. Barnes & Noble, Dillard's, Macy's, and Dick's Sporting Goods are the anchor establishments.
