In Montgomery, Alabama, there is a neighborhood enclosed retail center called Eastdale Mall. On August 3, 1977, it first opened. It has an area of 964,717 square feet (89,625.1 m2) as of 2010. At Home, JCPenney, Dillard's, and two Belk locations are the anchor retailers.

The mall's first anchor was Montgomery Ward. After it shut down in 1983, Sears was born.
In 2005, JCPenney relocated from a location in Montgomery Mall to the mall. Parisian formerly called both of the Belk sites home until 2007. The largest of the two was constructed as Pizitz and ran as McRae's from 1987 to 1998. Up until 1998, Dillard's was a Gayfers store. A 2016 closure of Sears. In the old Sears location, At Home debuted in 2017.
The movie theater at the mall shut down in March 2013, however, it later reopened and is still showing films today. Later that year, a Chuck E. Cheese's restaurant opened in the mall across from Belk.
