Lake Conroe is a reservoir located in Montgomery and Walker counties (Texas, USA). Named after the city of the same name, although only a tiny part of the lake is located on the territory of Konro, the main part is located in Montgomery and Walker. Lake Conroe is 70 percent used as a water source for the city of Houston.

The area of the lake is 81.4 km², and its volume is 0.53 km³. The average depth is about 6 m, and the greatest is 21 m. Length - 41, width - 9.7, and the length of the entire coastline - 252.7 km. The transparency of the water is low, mainly due to algae staining. The lake is located on the western fork of the San Jacinto River.
The lake was created in 1973 by a joint project between Houston and the Texas Water Development Board as an alternative reservoir for Houston. completed in the same year.
