Dillard's, Henry's, JCPenney, Montgomery Ward, and Service Merchandise (formerly Wilson's Catalog Showroom) were the mall's initial anchor stores. In 1988, Henry's closed. Later, the building was walled off from the rest of the mall and is now home to 54 West Music Hall. Twelve years after the other stores in the mall, Sears debuted in 1993 after relocating from the outdoor Twin Lakes Shopping Center. December 2014 saw the closure of Sears. Convergys took control of their anchor shop building, turning it into office space that was no longer reachable from the mall's interior.
