In Selma, Alabama, there is a covered retail center called Selma Mall. When the mall was opened in 1971, its main retailers were Sears, Britt's (a J.J. Newberry branch), and S.H. Kress. By the 1990s, Beall-Ladymon had joined as a primary anchor, while Kress had changed to McCrory Stores. Treasure Box Flea & Antique Mall is the anchor store.

After closing in 1993, Sears changed its name to McRae's, which is currently a part of Belk. The previous Beall-Ladymon was replaced by Goody's, which reopened in 2011 after shutting in 2008. Steele's was included as an additional anchor in 2011. JCPenney announced the impending closing of their Selma Mall location in January 2014. In the former JCPenney location, Treasure Box Flea and Antique Mall opened in August 2019. On May 23, 2023, it was revealed that Belk would shut down on June 5 and that the only anchors remaining would be Treasure Box Flea and Antique Mall.
